The World Wide Web is an excellent source of information on aquaculture and aquaculture related issues, such as the National Sea Grant's Aquaculture Bibliography, East Coast Live! 2000, and the National Aquaculture Extension Conference (April 8-13, 1997).

- An excellent clearinghouse of aquaculture information available on the Internet (e.g. publications, newsletters, calendar of events, news, and jobs). It also provides information on how to obtain aquaculture information that is not on the Internet.
- Aquatic Network - Information Service for the Aquatic World

- Another excellent clearinghouse. Subject areas covered include aquaculture, conservation, fisheries, marine science and oceanography, maritime heritage, ocean engineering, and seafood.
- Alternative Farming Systems Information Center (AFSIC)

- Aquaculture Information Center (AIC), one of the information centers at the National Agricultural Library (USDA/ARS), is now part of Alternative Farming Systems Information Center (the NAL now has 9 subject specific information centers that provide customized services to the agricultural community and others). This center serves as a national clearinghouse for aquaculture information and provides materials to a variety of clientele including aquafarmers, consumers, industry personnel, educators, government agencies, associations, libraries, the media, students, scientists, and prospective farmers.

- The University of Tasmania has established Australia's first Department of Aquaculture. This site provides information about Australian aquaculture efforts as well as what is offered by the Department of Aquaculture. - Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture

- The Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture, is located at Oceanic Institute, Waimanalo, Hawaii. The program that has evolved around this workstation has come to be called The Pacific Regional Aquaculture Information Service for Education (PRAISE), and was implemented under the USDA Regional Aquaculture Center Program. The goal of the PRAISE program is to support the development of the aquaculture industry in the Pacific Region by the promotion of information transfer.
